“Healing With Foods All Spice Latte”-A 0g sugar alternative to the 50g sugar Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte.

If you are anything like me, you most likely love a hot cup of coffee early in the morning or later in the afternoon, especially on a cold day, and this time of the year I’m sure what you love the most is the aroma and the taste of the pumpkin spice.

Well, not only I know that but Starbucks knows it too, so they came up with the seasonal Pumpkin Spice Latte, which sounds all so good, but….is it good for your health too?

Let’s have a look at it. 50 g of sugar, or to say it in plain English, it has 10 tsp of sugar (I’m talking about the grande latte, which is their smaller size).

Now again, if you’ve been following me, it is because you care about your health and you want to make food your medicine, not your poison.

Sugar is toxic! Sugar is addictive. Sugar is inflammatory. I think I can stop here, you get the picture and it’s not pretty.

I know, this is not good news. I can hear you screaming “Oh no, no more Starbucks pumpkin latte”, …. life without pumpkin latte can turn gray pretty rapidly:)

But, I got you covered. On today’s blog, I’m sharing with you the “HealingWithFoods All Spice Latte”-A 0g sugar alternative to the 50g sugar Starbucks pumpkin spice latte. This yummy beverage, in fact, will not only please your taste buds but it will help you stay in that highly desirable “fat burning zone”. Now, who doesn’t want to burn fat as they sip a good cup of coffee?

Disclaimer: The only way you burn fat when you eat fat is if you don’t have any carbohydrates with it.

Why?

Carbs convert to sugar.

Sugar triggers an insulin response.

Insulin STOPS FAT BURNING!

Insulin STIMULATES FAT STORAGE!

In real life it sounds like this: if you have this coffee with your regular breakfast (e.g. cereal, bagel, toast and OJ, etc.) or if you add sugar or even honey to it, you ARE NOT GOING TU BURN FAT!

Recipe at a glance:

Ingredients:

  • 4-8 oz. freshly made coffee using the Italian mocha, French press or espresso machine
  • 1 tbsp grass-fed butter
  • 1 tbsp virgin unrefined organic coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp allspice or pumpkin spice
  • stevia to sweeten (optional). I drink mine without any sweetener!

Instructions:

  • Blend all the ingredients together for 30 seconds using a bullet or a blender.hwf_all_spice_latte
